Ascope
Ascope tracks App Store keyword rankings for iPhone and Mac apps across more than 50 countries. It combines daily rank history with keyword popularity, difficulty scores, and suggestions, and lets connected AI assistants research keywords and manage tracking.
Ascope helps you research App Store keywords and monitor where apps appear in search results. Add your own iPhone or Mac app, or a competitor’s, by name or App Store ID. It checks rankings within the top 200 results daily across more than 50 countries and keeps a history of changes. You can compare the same keyword across several countries.
Keyword research combines Apple Search Ads popularity scores with difficulty scores based on the apps already ranking. When Apple has no popularity score, Ascope shows an estimate marked with a tilde. Popularity scores refresh at most every five days, separately from daily ranking checks. Related keyword suggestions include popularity and difficulty scores, and no Apple Search Ads account is needed.
For competitor research, Ascope shows apps from the App Store’s “You Might Also Like” recommendations and the apps ranking for a keyword, including their subtitles and ratings. Estimated monthly downloads and revenue are available for iPhone apps.
A local Model Context Protocol (MCP) server lets tools such as Cursor and Claude read ranking history, research keywords, and change what you track from chat. The server runs only while Ascope is open and can be switched off. Apps, keywords, and ranking history are stored on your Mac; Ascope’s servers receive the search terms and app IDs needed for lookups.
