Tuck
Tuck hides and organizes menu bar icons, with a Shelf panel for accessing hidden items below the menu bar. It includes per-icon visibility controls and supports automatic hiding, hover reveal, and rules based on the active app.
Tuck organizes menu bar icons by hiding items you do not need to see all the time. Hold Command and drag icons to the left of Tuck, then click its toggle to hide or reveal them. Individual icons can stay visible, remain hidden, or follow the main toggle.
Push Mode hides icons within the menu bar, while Shelf Mode presents hidden items in a panel below it, making them accessible on notched MacBooks. The Shelf supports named groups, search across hidden icons, and a second row for launching pinned apps. Its layout can be reordered and locked to prevent accidental changes.
Automatic controls include delayed hiding, hover-to-reveal, and visibility rules based on the active application. Auto-hide pauses while an item's menu is open. A global keyboard shortcut also provides quick access.
On macOS 14, 15 and 26, Tuck can hide Apple system status items such as Wi-Fi and Control Center. On macOS 27, core system controls remain visible, and items from the same app are managed together. Screen Recording permission enables original menu bar images in the Shelf; without it, Tuck uses app icons instead.
Tuck has no telemetry, analytics, or tracking. It contacts its servers only for license validation and update checks.
