Focus Firewall
Focus Firewall blocks distracting websites and apps’ internet access on a schedule, without browser extensions. You can take timed breaks, make exceptions, and review time spent on websites.
Focus Firewall helps you avoid online distractions by blocking websites and apps’ internet access during scheduled work hours. It works at the system level without browser extensions and supports browsers including Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Arc, Brave, and Edge. Blocked websites stop loading; blocked apps can still open but cannot access the internet.
You can choose from preset categories covering more than 155 websites and nine messaging apps, or add your own sites and apps. Set your working hours once to have blocking start automatically on schedule.
Blocking is deliberately bypassable rather than locked down. You can pause it for a short break and have it resume automatically, temporarily disable a category, or unblock an individual website when needed.
A browsing report shows time spent on each site, hour by hour, whether blocking is on or off. Blocking and browsing data stay on your Mac, and no account is required.
