HUUSH is a Mac app for reviewing and censoring profanity in recorded videos. Drag in footage from Finder, run Smart Clean to suggest words to censor, and review the transcript before making edits. Clicking a word jumps to that moment, where you can correct the text and adjust censorship timing.

You can silence selected regions or replace them with bundled sounds or your own audio files up to 30 seconds long. Compare the original and censored audio before exporting video as MP4 or MOV, or subtitles as SRT. A video library lets you organize projects into collections and return to them later.

Smart Clean does not catch every unwanted word. Unclear audio, overlapping speakers, names, and slang need extra review; you can add dictionary entries and create censorship regions manually. Each region affects the full audio mix, including music and ambience, rather than separating dialogue from other sounds.

Speech recognition and media processing run locally, without media uploads or a server recognition fallback. HUUSH requires an Apple silicon Mac running macOS 26 or later. Recognition model availability depends on the hardware and selected language, and an initial model download may require internet access.
