Tangrid is a Mac window manager that combines automatic tiling, window snapping, and tools for finding open windows. It works with multiple displays and native macOS Spaces. Automatic tiling adjusts the layout as windows open, while tab groups let you preview, switch between, and move related windows together.

For manual placement, drag a window to a screen edge or a gap in the layout and preview its position before dropping it. A modifier key lets you move or resize a window from anywhere inside it without reaching for the title bar.

The window switcher gives each open window its own entry. You can browse thumbnails across all apps or just the current app, or search a vertical list by window title, app name, or pinyin. Fuzzy matching helps find windows from a few remembered letters. Hovering over a Dock icon also shows that app’s windows, with controls to close or minimize them and control supported media.

Workspaces save the windows in a macOS Space so you can restore their positions, sizes, tab groups, and split layouts together. You can choose a target Space and assign a shortcut to restore a saved layout.
