SpaceFix
SpaceFix is a Mac storage analyzer and cleaner that helps you understand what is taking up space. It scans supported locations, requesting folder access when needed, and groups findings into Safe to Remove, Needs Review, and protected or macOS-managed storage. Scan data stays on your Mac.
Cleanup requires your action. After you review the scan, Clean All Safe checks eligible items again before moving them to macOS Trash rather than permanently erasing them. Personal, uncertain, and protected data stays outside Safe to Remove; files are not treated as disposable simply because they are large, old, or cached.
Supported cleanup candidates include verified caches, logs, temporary files, application leftovers, and selected developer-tool data. SpaceFix also helps you review storage associated with Xcode, Codex, Claude, Cursor, and package managers, separating supported rebuildable files from history and other data that may need closer review.
SpaceFix can inspect some, but not all, files that macOS counts as System Data. Its storage breakdown may therefore differ from the System Data figure shown by macOS, and it may not be able to remove everything in that category. It also offers focused checks for supported suspicious findings, but is not an antivirus or a replacement for macOS XProtect and Gatekeeper.
SpaceFix requires macOS 13 Ventura or later.
