Oh My Notes

Oh My Notes is a floating notes app for keeping daily tasks, reminders and reference notes visible while you work. Its Today view groups overdue items, notes due today, pinned notes and notes captured today. A global keyboard shortcut lets you capture a note from another app.

Notes can stay above ordinary windows, with Pro extending this to fullscreen apps and across Spaces. When you click away, they fade to an opacity you choose between 40% and 100%. Reminders use native macOS notifications, with preset or custom times and daily or weekly repeats available in Pro.

Every note is a plain Markdown file, stored by default in ~/Documents/OhMyNotes, with import and export built in. No account is required, and the app does not run its own sync service. With Pro, you can choose another notes folder, including an Obsidian vault or a folder synced through iCloud Drive or Dropbox. To-dos use standard Markdown checkboxes that Obsidian can read.

The app supports English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, along with pinyin search and matching between Chinese variants. It requires macOS 13 or later.
