Local Music Organizer helps manage local Music.app libraries and standalone audio files. It finds duplicates and missing files, compares recordings, and provides audio inspection and conversion tools, with maintenance actions kept separate from diagnostic scans.

Local Music Organizer helps you inspect and maintain large, offline Music.app libraries. It finds missing file references, duplicate playlist entries and library records, missing artwork, and inconsistent metadata. You review scan results before choosing edits or file actions.

Library tools show which playlists use a track, compare playlist contents, and relink existing Music.app records to replacement files or moved folders. A saved library index supports searches and selective refreshes after changes. Shuffle Builder creates a new playlist with spacing rules for artists, albums and repeated recordings while leaving the source playlists unchanged.

Audio Inspector examines individual files without adding them to Music.app. It shows format details and a spectrogram, while the independent Live Spectrum player provides playback, a live spectrum and an interactive waveform. A/B comparison lets you align passages from two recordings and apply temporary loudness matching without changing either source. Audio authenticity checks flag possible lossy conversions or sample-rate upscaling, but their results are estimates rather than proof of a recording’s history.

Repair / Convert works directly with local files, including CUE albums and specialist formats such as SACD ISO. After verifying a conversion, it can keep the original, move it to Trash or archive it. Decoding depends on a valid source supported by the bundled engine; encrypted, corrupted or non-standard files may fail.

Analysis and conversion work offline without uploading audio or library data. Library integration requires Music.app Automation permission and access to the relevant folders. The supported workflow is limited to physically available local audio, not Apple Music subscription content, cloud-only files or streaming audio. The app does not repair or rebuild the Music.app database.
