Gatterie

Gatterie lets you browse photos, RAW files, videos, documents and 3D models directly in your existing folders. View collections as a gallery, folder tree or timeline, then find files by name, tags and star ratings. It does not move, rename or delete files, and requires no import or catalog.

Photos with GPS metadata can appear on an offline map, grouped by place and filtered by year or month. Lines can connect photo locations in capture order, but they do not show the route travelled. Online maps are used only when you choose them.

The integrated 3D viewer lets you rotate and zoom models such as STL, OBJ and GLB files before opening them in a specialist CAD app or slicer. Rendering depends on the format and model; unsupported variants remain accessible as format tiles. Other file previews may use macOS Quick Look, whose results depend on macOS and installed apps.

A built-in image editor handles brightness, contrast, colour, straightening and cropping. Image edits and metadata exports save to new image copies by default. Only an explicitly selected expert option can change originals, after a warning.

Text recognition runs on your Mac without uploading images. Optional local AI can suggest tags, descriptions and alt text for review, using a compatible model set up separately through a service such as LM Studio or Ollama. Browsing, search, 3D viewing and image editing work without AI.

Gatterie works offline without an account, and libraries and previews stay on your Mac. It requires Apple silicon hardware, M1 or newer; Intel Macs are not supported.
