Muse collects web links, images, videos, and notes in a searchable visual library. On-device AI suggests tags and reads text in images, while a drag-and-drop collection dial and global launcher help you save and find items without opening the main window.

Muse is a visual bookmark manager for keeping links, images, screenshots, GIFs, videos, and text notes together. Saved links include a title, favicon, and key image. You can browse your library as a moodboard, cards, or a list, or arrange saved items on a freeform canvas that exports to PDF.

Capture items by dragging, pasting, taking a screenshot, or clipping from a web page. When you start dragging, a collection dial opens around the pointer so you can file an item without opening a window. A global launcher searches recent items, bookmarks, and collections, while a shelf at the edge of the screen gives access to recent saves. Web-page clipping requires the companion browser extension; other capture methods work without it.

Nested collections, tags, and item notes help organise the library. One item can belong to several collections without being duplicated. Muse imports from Eagle, Raindrop, CSV files, browser bookmarks, and Pinterest. Importing X bookmarks or Instagram saves requires enabling the feature in both Muse and its extension, then opening and scrolling through your saved posts in the browser.

On-device AI suggests tags, reads text inside images, and identifies colours for search. An optional downloadable AI pack adds meaning-based visual search. Built-in features work offline, but two optional tools use external services: Muse Vision sends an image to Pinterest for visual search, and Claude features send images and searches to Anthropic using your own API key. An MCP server and local API also let connected AI apps and scripts find, save, and organise library items.

Library files remain accessible in a Finder folder and can be exported or dragged into other apps. Muse supports scheduled backups and optional iCloud sync with its iPhone companion. The Mac app requires Apple silicon.
