Butler

Butler is an app launcher and automation utility for routine Mac tasks. It can open applications and documents, search the web, manage bookmarks, and move or copy files.

You organize tasks in a customizable configuration and assign one or more triggers to each task. Triggers include keyboard shortcuts, abbreviations, menu bar menus, pop-up menus, hot corners, and events, so the same action can be accessible in several ways.

For more involved tasks, Butler can run AppleScripts and simulate keystrokes. It also provides access to recent clipboard contents and can insert text snippets, bringing common text and automation actions into the same setup as your launch shortcuts.
